I saw this at the Santa Barbara Film Festival a few years back and loved it. It really stuck in my mind as an example of an independent film delivering the kind of pure comedic entertainment that studio comedies were once known for. It's not an "indie comedy" in the way that term can sometimes signal inaccessible or quirky. Instead, it's broad in the best sense; I remember it as a film you can watch with anyone and have some big laughs. Definitely one of the best comedies I saw that year and exactly the type of film that would have sold to the studios/streamers ten years ago.
