Indie Gems ("we," "us," "our,” or the “platform”) is a membership platform focused on lifting up the voices of independent artists. Our mission is to promote outstanding independent feature films to general audiences, film enthusiasts, and film industry professionals. The below terms describe how we seek to do that. By using Indie Gems, you agree to the terms below and to any other policies we may post, including our Privacy Policy.
By providing your email address to Indie Gems, you agree to receive occasional emails from us, including film recommendations, community updates, and announcements about our platform. We keep communication to a minimum and will never flood your inbox. You may unsubscribe at any time by either updating your email preferences in your account settings or by clicking the unsubscribe link included in any email we send, and we will promptly remove you from our mailing list.
Indie Gems respects your privacy. Seriously. We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your email address is collected solely for the purpose of delivering the services described above and will be stored securely.
To create an account or otherwise use Indie Gems, you must be at least 13 years old and you must also be old enough to consent to the processing of your personal data in your country (in some countries we may allow your parent or guardian to do so on your behalf). You must be at least 18 years old or have your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission to purchase an offering or subscription on Indie Gems.
We may use third-party analytics tools to record and analyze how you interact with our site. This helps us improve the experience for everyone. These tools operate under strict data-processing agreements and your data is never sold or used for advertising.
You are responsible for all activity on your account. You may not do anything illegal nor do anything that abuses or exploits Indie Gems in a technical way or that exploits Indie Gems in any manner that is intentionally or unintentionally detrimental to us.
By using the platform, you agree to adhere to Indie Gems’ community guidelines when interacting with other members or with Indie Gems staff. This includes treating all other Indie Gems members and staff with respect at all times. Speaking disparagingly to other users/members or to Indie Gems staff represents a violation of our community guidelines. Rude, inappropriate, violent, bigoted or abusive statements, content, or behavior on the platform or in any communications with our members or staff shall be considered a violation of our community guidelines. Every Indie Gems user/member binds her/himself to abide by these community guidelines at all times in their interactions with Indie Gems members and staff. Indie Gems reserves the right to determine any violation of these guidelines and suspend or revoke membership at its sole discretion. Members who have had their membership revoked are not entitled to refunds of any purchases.
Any violation of our terms may result in having your membership revoked at Indie Gems’ sole discretion. Indie Gems reserves the right to update these terms at any time.
