Solid acting, eerie tone, engaging tension. Great story back in 2009. The core premise still holds up, but our relationship with technology and AI has changed, so some of the Gerty scenes seem hopelessly naive now. Even the Earth not being surrounded by a layer of floating garbage seems far-fetched. But i guess that's the risk of writing sci-fi. It might not ring so true once the world catches up.
